The new Kamppi shopping mall

The new Kamppi shopping mall opened its doors last Thursday. It has over 150 shops and restaurants in six floors.

The reason I'm writing about a shopping mall here is that the mall has actually quite a good selection of design-related shops. So, if the weather is bad or you have limited time to spend, check these out:

• Anne Linnonmaa - ecological boutique clothing for women
• Cyber - young trendy stuff
• Guess store - only one in Finland
• Iittala Shop - well, Iittala
• Kalevala Koru Lapponia shop - the first brand shop that carries the both brands
• Kone Helsinki - local clothing brand
• Marimekko - a new big one in two stories
• Muurla Design 360 - glassware from the manufacturer, carries selections by Ristomatti Ratia, Tommy Tabermann and Hans Välimäki
• Nike Helsinki - the first Nike concept store in Finland
• Pentik - well, Pentik
• Soul Home Shop - Finnish small furniture manufacturer, their third shop
