L'Amour Mobile Phones by Nokia
Since Nokia is the best known Finnish brand worldwide, I think they can be considered to be suitable for this site as well.
Nokia has had number of very popular phone models during the years. Unfortunately the form hasn't been the main factor in their success.
Nokia's L'Amour collection is a bit different story. In my eyes it's the first true fashion phone collection they've had. The collection consists of three different models, 7360, 7370 and 7380. All three models are available in Europe, but North America is still waiting to get the 7360.
What makes L'Amour so special then? Technically, nothing. It's all about how they look. The design of phones with leather and etched metal makes them look something else than a techno gadget. Still, they do have all the latest technology in them.
It's also obvious that Nokia has realized that the people want to have beautiful items with the right attitude. Mobile phones are a visible part of everyone's personal image, and many don't want to be seen as techo geeks. Something that Apple has realized a long time ago and made them sky rocket with iPod.
Nokia has invested a lot of talent in marketing of L'Amour. Instead of the tech spec boasting, they've made fine material that communicates the values of L'Amour.
